No blogs recently as I have been too busy watching snooker on TV and watching scorecards. It becomes very addictive, time consuming and tiring for a Macaw and I haven't even had time to chase the cats. Under BooBoo's beak for the last nine years, has been an up and coming snooker player and I didn't realise. Change of plan now for BooBoo, I am going to earn how to play snooker and Darryl can teach me! I have it all worked out. I can stand on the edge of the table and walk swiftly with my mini cue, I will soon learn to pot all those coloured balls into the nets that I have seen around the edges of the table. I have loads of ideas, move the cats out so that I can have my practice table in the conservatory and everyday, Darryl can give me a lesson. I love this new idea of mine, there are so many possibilities for a handsome Macaw on the World Snooker stage. Travelling will be my next target, I would love to see more of the world - India, China, Europe - oh bring it on!
I have always been a good bird for Darryl and I have never bitten him or chased him and I am sure he'll be pleased to carry me, when we travel I could sit on his shoulder. I would be very useful as I could hold the boarding cards, look after the luggage and we could travel light. Darryl could have one bag and I could have a mini bag. I just need to take my own dishes, my food, the monkey nuts I love and maybe some black grapes and a chocolate biscuit. Just had another BooBoob thought - I will need a passport! Perhaps I could travel on Darryl's and just stick a photo of me next to his and off we could go. I can't wait now I am so excited and Sue is definitely not invited.
Now just think about me at those World tournaments, I would fit in so well. I could bow to the audience and say "Hello" and if Darryl isn't doing well I could nip under the table and tug on his opponents shiny shoes! Then there is all the scaffolding that holds all of the lights up, I could get a birds eye view up there and I am sure the TV cameras will follow me up there. If I need to have a rest I can sit in Darryl's seat and have a bath in his big jug of cold water!
Well I will keep you all informed as to how my snooker lessons progress, my first lesson was today which you have a photo of. We used a broom handle and some plastic balls and when I am more improved Darryl is going to treat me to a mini snooker cue. I have reminded him also that I will need my own smart waistcoat and bow tie - although I am not sure what colour to have yet, have you any ideas? I will soon be a snooker star and on TV, move over Ronnie O'Sullivan, BooBoo is here.
